Hatching eggs are fertilized eggs that are ready to be placed in an incubator. Reach out to us after placing your order to arrange pick-up, but typically hatching egg orders can be ready within a day or two. Our price is per dozen. 
 
The Barred Rock (Plymouth Rock) is a Heritage Breed chicken that has been a backyard favorite for years. It is a hardy “dual-purpose” bird (good for egg production and meat). Due to their docile nature they also make great pets. They are prolific layers of large brown eggs and are cold hardy with great production even in the winter. With steady, reliable egg laying, good temperament, cold hardiness, meaty bodies and beautiful black and white barred plumage, the Barred Rock is a well-rounded breed that is hard to beat.
